The Assembly Press is Quite Versatile in it's Application

The assembly-press has many applications, in automation. It can be used for pressing parts together (surprise!), for forming, stamping, riveting and most, if not all, of the operations, normally associated with presses.

The manual press, is the simplest type available, (and the least expensive) and can be toggle or rack and pinion operated.

One major advantage, of the manually operated press, is that the operator can "feel" the progress of the operation. Many times a fault is discovered, by a diligent operator, that can be very difficult, to be sensed, if the operation is later automated.

Air presses, can be manually or automatically operated.

The force available, to accomplish the task at hand, can be quite high, either by utilizing multiple pistons in the air cylinder, or using a hydraulic intensifier.

The latest technology, is that of the Servo Press. Here, a servo-motor is the prime mover, and therefore monitoring the complete pressing operation is possible, as well as recording and data analysis.

The simpler types of presses, can also be monitored, but the Servo Press, is well suited, to the more critical applications.
